Why Comparing Yourself to Others is Unhealthy?
We all are High Schoolers and as we know high school is a very stressful time for everyone. And for me personally I tend to compare myself to the people around me, but this has been a major affect on my mental health.
When we compare ourselves to the people around us and the people who do many different things for school and many different activities. We feel like we need to do everything these people are doing, however, this is not the case. You can control one life—yours. But when we constantly compare ourselves to others, we waste precious energy focusing on other peoples' lives rather than our own. Comparisons often result in resentment. Resentment towards others and towards ourselves.
We need to stop comparing ourselves to the students around us. It shouldn't matter what others are doing, we need to look and focus on the things we are doing.
